Innovative Rapper 2Nice Unleashes the ‘Sunlight’ with Latest Track

And now, with new single ‘Sunlight’ release on QW-KEYMUSIC it’s set to show the world exactly how it sounds when pop, rap, reggae and EDM are drawn together, his star will continue to rise:

Gritty and raw while still having a polished sheen, ‘Sunlight’ is a single which could well see 2Nice break through from cult status to the mainstream. It’s truly impressive work from a brave and innovative artist not afraid to try new things.

All the more impressive, 2Nice does all this while suffering the debilitating effects of epilepsy. Using music in his everyday battle to overcome the condition, 2Nice finds the creative process soothing – allowing him to turn his thoughts away from an illness he has found it hard to come to terms with.

With his genuinely unique blend of genres, ‘Sunlight’ is just the first assault 2Nice is readying for the mainstream UK music industry this year. Hold on to your hats for 2015.

Iestyn Morris set to appear as ‘Peter Pan’ with the Welsh National Opera

Award winning counter-tenor set to bring new life to the mythical character who never ages

Peter Pan, the timeless story by J.M. Barrie which has entered into folklore through countless iterations and adaptations, is finally set for the UK operatic stage thanks to the Welsh National Opera. Starring the award winning vocals of Iestyn Morris in the title role, the innovative staging and production of the traditional tale by Olivier Award winning director Kieth Warner, who has worked closely with British composer Richard Ayres and librettist Lavinia Greenlaw, represents a faithful but original adaptation of the classic story.

Positioned as a genuine route for youngsters into Opera, the star of a show of this magnitude has to be a perfect fit – one found in the inimitable talents of Iestyn Morris.

A former winner of the Tracey Chadwell Award for contemporary song and also winner of the Patricia Routledge National English Song Competition, Morris has performed at the top level from a young age. His reputation within the industry is such that he was specially invited to return to the latter for its centenary, as a member of the prestigious judging panel.

Now, with ‘Peter Pan’ set to take flight once more in Morris’ capable hands, it marks the latest chapter in a stellar career.

This journey has seen Iestyn Morris perform with some of the most exciting and challenging roles in the Opera world (see below for credited highlights), and will now see him step into the magical world of J.M. Barrie’s Neverland as the iconic Peter Pan. It’s a spectacle not to be missed.

Plastique new electro-industrial single ‘Quake’ out now

“‘Quake’ sees Plastique prove themselves to be the band Garbage wanted to be”, Whisperin’ and Hollerin’

“…Three minutes of attitude on an industrial scale”, Fresh On The Net

There’s a lot to be said for taking a breather to regroup. And that’s exactly what London-based electro rockers Plastique have done – the result being the distinctive ‘Quake‘, absolutely the trio’s best work yet.

The punch-packing video for ‘Quake’ sees frontwoman Anelise Kunz up-close-and-personal with the camera in her trademark ‘no f*cks being given’ demeanour, amid vibrating equalisers and plenty of distortion. Effect-laden cameos feature band members Gabriel Ralls and Fabio Couto before the band completely lose it when that riff hits.

Johnny Wore Black – ‘Firefly’ / ‘Comfy Slippers’ Double single

The singles are both taken from current Johnny Wore Black album ‘Walking Underwater Part 2’. Available now, it followed debut LP ‘Walking Underwater Part 1’ as a double whammy of albums released in 2014 to excellent reviews. ‘Part 2’ sees Johnny Wore Black continue to evolve his unique energy and song writing style, with an intense, passionate lyrical style.

On hearing the singles and the album as a whole it should come as no surprise that this acerbic brand of indie-rock already has fans among music’s top table. Notable followers of Jonny Wore Black include Tim Simenon (Bomb The Bass), Danny Bigfoot (Shanks and Bigfoot), Loretta Heywood (Winter in July), David Ellefson (Megadeth), Simon Hutchby (Earthtone 9) and more.

David Ellefson chose to work alongside Johnny Wore Black on production duties, as did Grammy Award Winner David Bottrill. The fact that such storied veterans of the business believe in the music of Johnny Wore Black goes some way to confirming the potential of this unusually dark artist.

In the words of David Ellefson himself:

“Johnny Wore Black has a very unique sound that I like and as an artist creating a unique sound is one of the hardest things to do, you either have it or you don’t and to me Johnny Wore Black definitely has it.”

Crazy Fenton making some noise with ‘Cool Ella’ single

Rock single to be released on June 22nd, with a full album to follow July 13th

‘Cool Ella’ is one hell of a way to come out fighting, and with the follow up album due a couple of weeks later on July 13th, you will be hearing a lot more of Crazy Fenton in 2015. The album, produced by British EDM trailblazer Alex Banks (EZ Rollers), is the kind of release which will have the music industry on high alert with its raw song writing and production values.

With lyrics inspired – in Clive Aliker’s own words – by ‘deaths, mental failings, and a complete inability to understand the female species’, these are songs that listeners can’t fail to relate to.

And in ‘Cool Ella’, Crazy Fenton has picked out one hell of an entrance.

Having worked with renowned producer Dave Allen (The Cure, Human League, Chameleons) to arrive at an energetic studio style, the new single ‘Cool Ella’ is set for release on June 22nd. High energy and built on a foundation of distorted guitars and pounding drums, this is one for fans of the classics.

A welcome throwback to the golden ages of punk and rock, Crazy Fenton is the musical brainchild of songwriter Clive Aliker – a Norfolk based artist who is a big fan of making a good old fashioned ruckus. With influences from 60s garage rock and 70s punk all the way through to the modern day, Crazy Fenton is the work of a veteran musician who certainly knows how to rattle out a top tune.

BowLDN new single ‘Survivor’

The latest example of his unusual sound is his track ‘Survivor’, a fittingly named single about overcoming adversity to make a better life for yourself – a subject with which BowLDN has a lot of experience.

Diagnosed with learning difficulties at a relatively late stage in his schooling, BowLDN was initially told by his mainstream school that he wouldn’t pass his GCSE exams. Taking the decision to leave behind a school who had lost faith, he studied for his GCSEs at a YMCA training school, eventually passing each subject and specialising in music.

Moving on to college, he once again found himself lost in the shuffle, and getting in with the wrong crowd. A scrape with the law left him sentenced to one year’s probation and 30 hours community service.

Encouraged as part of his sentence to join a drama group called Bare Truths, BowLDN met a supportive group of people who allowed him to express himself creatively for perhaps the first time. Once his sentence was up, and he was no longer required to attend the group, he continued anyway – learning with each session and honing his creative outlet.

The next step is the release of ‘Survivor’ on June 22nd. From there – who knows?
