‘I Can Feel Your Power’ from Ian Martyn

For lovers of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac  Ian Martyn’s expressive and greatly inspiring new single ‘I Can Feel Your Power’ epitomises the  support and comfort that art can bring to people especially at their darkest times in life. In Ian’s case it’s living with the earth shattering experience of losing both his wife and mother in the space of just 5 months.

As well as using his dreams to inspire his lyrics (I Can Feel Your Power) he visited a Tibetan monastery in Scotland to study Buddhism in order to help him manage the difficulties of his new life. At the monastery he had the unusual experience of meeting a soul-mate and felt a severe case of’ Déjà Vu’

Alongside his emotional life journey Ian features international artists for his music artwork. Some artists worthy of note are Jack Vettriano (on ‘Why Don’t You Tell Me’), Leonid Afremov and Sera Knight (on ‘You Are The One’), Laurie Hamilton, Adam Scott Miller, Delmary and (on ‘I Can Feel Your Power’) Daniel Eskridge (on ‘Dance With Spirits’), Rassouili and Josephine Wall (on ‘Déjà Vu’).

They have all said they are delighted and honoured to have a share in Ian’s journey and adding an extra dimension to Ian’s enlightening music.

Introspective ‘Waiting On You’ The New Single From The Amazing SHADOWQUEENWatch Their Brand New Film Clip Here:

Combining the styles of the Queens Of The Stone Age, Royal Blood, Muse, Rage Against The Machine and Biffy Clyro SHADOWQUEEN are a dynamic melodic hard rock group that are not to be disregarded. Particularly as they are such a diverse band it is very difficult to pigeon hole them into one specific genre. The versatile band have supported the much loved New Zealand band Shihad and Australian bands such as Electric Mary, The Butterfly Effect and Bellusira.

Also worthy of note is the producers and engineers that are involved with their upcoming 2017 Sophomore album. Ricki Rae who has recorded Electric Mary, Massive and Tequila Mockingbyrd and Garth Richardson who produced for Biffy Clyro and Rage Against The Machine. Their first album was also mastered by Ted Jensen in New York (Paramore and Iron Maiden).

Robbi Zana (vocals/bass) on the single: “This track’s narrative shines the light on the struggles of contending with internal self-deprecating dialogue and the realisation that you’re ultimately waiting on yourself to get out and achieve your goals and dreams.”

Introducing “When I Call You” the Brilliant New Single from Musical Mastermind Francisco Bayon.

Francisco Bayon has amassed 20 years of experience as a musician, singer, dancer and producer. His sound champions influences from heavy metal to classical latin, having collected first-hand experience in Cuba studying and performing with local artists. With all his experience he has wasted no time in nurturing his unique craft, achieving an incredibly powerful and high level of artistic integrity. Francisco uses all the instruments that are typical of Caribbean music, such as bongos, congas, timbales, guiro, guira, etc. and takes the instruments out of their original settings bringing a fresh sound to his music.

“When I Call You” came about after an accidental Skype call whilst listening to past productions. This just goes to show the creativity that artists such as Francisco incorporate into their music.

Watch the video here:

Listen Here:

Francisco’s music is a wholesome listening and physical experience making you want to sing, dance and express your emotions. Through this highly energetic and captivating vibe he developed the indentifying phrase “Sing it. Dance it.  Feel it.”

To name a few, Francisco has worked with the famous Italian singer Donatella Rettore and the label Universal making a cover of her popular song Splendido Splendente. The salsa/bachata festivals Francisco has taken part in involve various Caribbean artists well known on the Latin scene, such as Joe Veras, Jc, Pedrito Calvo Jr. and many more. He has also worked with Black Diamond studio in Genoa, and various studios in Milan; as for productions, he works with Yannior Farres (pianist for Elito Revé y su Charangón orchestra) and El Trinitario (singer/percussionist of La Maxima 79 orchestra)

Though he has a lot of experience in the Latin/Cuban areas of music, he is far beyond the clichés of the genres, leaning towards the likes of Pitbull, Marc Anthony and Jenifer Lopez.

Francisco is a highly self proficient artist, often nicknamed ‘The Manager’, as he has his own recording studio and arranges his own empowering tracks. Living up to his nickname he likes to be his own boss working almost autonomously. He also isn’t linked to any particular label which gives him more control over his art and leaves labels fighting over him.

UK rockers, The 109s, deliver white-knuckle 12-track debut album

Hampshire-based four-piece, The 109s, are here to put rock riffs back where they belong: loud and high in the mix, clawing and stomping their way through the speaker cones to grab listeners by the throat and pummel them into submission . . .

The 109s have taken everything good about Zeppelin, Sabbath, Royal Blood, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, MC5, The Stooges, Soundgarden and The Black Keys, and distilled from it a 100-percent-proof moonshine-mash that is all their own – a heady brew that kicks like a mule, burns like a mother, but has everyone asking for seconds . . .

Stream the album here:

The fantastic power of the band’s music is led by vocalist Damian Shelley’s strong but nuanced delivery and impressive vocal harmonies, while lead guitarist, Matty Pritchard’s short, high-octane solos reference everyone from Jimmy Page to J. Mascis.

Of course, none of this would be real rock if there wasn’t a stunning rhythm section (Pete Smith, bass, and Steve Collings, drums) who deliver the precision-power and flair of legendary pairings such as John Bonham and John Paul Jones, or Keith Moon and John Entwistle.

The band’s song arrangements are always original and surprising, wringing every droplet of dynamism and groove from a single riff, before strutting seamlessly through a flurry of exciting changes that are strung together with the delicacy of dewdrops on a cobweb.

High octane blues rock – very much my thing! Now I just need to see you do it live some time!” – Award winning crime novelist, Ian Rankin

A multi-talented artist, lead guitarist, Matty Pritchard, is also an author and member of the UK Crime Writers Association. He has published three novels in the UK to date – Scarecrow, Broken Arrow and Werewolf –  under the name Matthew Pritchard, and was nominated for the CWA’s Gold Dagger Award.

The 109s’ eponymous debut album is due out October 5th

Mancunian genre-meddlers Liam Browne & The Love release bouncy indie anthem ‘Baby Grow’ (and new album Forget & Remember)

The music is raw and unpretentious, juxtaposed with the vocals, which have an idiosyncratic style and are consistently engaging, while the lyrics are intriguing and intelligent.”

– Nigel Colley, Reflex Artists

‘Liam is a born front man who always looks like he’s playing to a stadium’Rowetta of the Happy Mondays

Having found themselves a cult following in Manchester, unsigned genre-meddling indie act Liam Browne & The Love seem destined to take on the rest of the country with their eclectic and nutty Northern-rooted sound.

Straight off their upcoming album Forget & Remember, their brand new single ‘Baby Grow’ is an upbeat and bouncy indie rock anthem that provides a small taster of the band’s large sonic scope. A music video is set to drop soon.

Stream ‘Baby Grow’ on Soundcloud here: https://soundcloud.com/liambrowneandthelove/13-baby-grow/s-wGCAq

Delivered with a raw and untamed Mancunian attitude, the album Forget & Remember is a crazy cocktail of lad rock, hip hop, folk and electronica all recorded in guitarist James Fraser’s garage (later mixed at Noise Boy Studios). Rowetta of the legendary Happy Mondays appears on two of the record’s tracks.

The group have an unusual origin story – frontman Liam was in the Amazon and a Shaman convinced him to sing for the first time initiating his aspirations as a vocalist and a songwriter. He met fellow member James at a Shamanic workshop the following year and from that point on they started making music together.

On top of his work as a musician, Liam Browne has starred in a number of cult movies including acclaimed raunchy Brit flick brilliantlove. He is close to Stereophonics lead singer Kelly Jones after taking the lead role in his music videos for ‘Violins and Tambourines’ and ‘In the Moment’.

I naively feel like Scorsese finding his De Niro

– Kelly Jones of Stereophonics, whilst directing Liam Browne in one of his music videos

Adding to his eventful background, Liam was involved in a near-fatal accident that almost prevented the band from ever coming to be. Whilst jacking his car up by the side of the M60, the vehicle dropped on top of him, leaving him trapped beneath it for two hours. It was only due to breathing techniques learnt though yoga that he was able to conserve oxygen and survive.

Forget & Remember is out 2nd October. Beck, Badly Drawn Boy, Kelly Jones and Rowetta all already own copies of the unreleased album.

The single ‘Baby Grow’ is out 2nd September

Incredible New Album ‘Solitaire Man Blues’By Brutha White

The best way to describe Brutha White’s ‘Solitaire Man Blues’ is perhaps that it needs no real introduction other than that it speaks for itself. Being a well travelled soul he has been exposed to a plethora of cultures and styles of music, evaluating his experiences and his personal struggles he found that blues was his true calling. Blues is often disregarded as something old and past its time but Brutha White has the power to changed anyone’s mind about that silly claim.

Having performed with such acts as the infamous Wu Tang Clan, Samantha Fish, People Under the Stairs and Digital Underground it’s clear that he is adding a zingy new flavour to blues.

Being an avid singer/songwriter blues is not the only music he has performed. He used to (and still does on occasion) perform acoustic hip-hop along the lines of A Tribe Called Quest, whilst also singing ballads for years prior. This is just a few examples of the influences in his music that have aided him in perfecting his craft.

Super Talented Cado Makes Us Think ‘Take Me Back’ With Oustanding New EP

Having been born half a century too late in 1990, Cado is a modern rock and roll artist with an obsession for music of the past! After stealing a Beatles album from a record shop aged 10, he was inspired to make music that will make people smile, dance and enjoy themselves!

Cado, who grew up in County Kildare, Ireland, was mesmerised at an early age by the sound of The Beatles and Chuck Berry and from then commenced a lifelong obsession with music! His father would perform Johnny B. Goode to him, and when he heard the hard hitting opening riff featured in back to the future at age 11, he did not hesitate to pick up a guitar and has rarely put it down since!

The multi instrumentalist has toured the UK and Ireland with The Shades and in early 2016 he began recording a collection of songs inspired by the music he adores. The singer-songwriter takes a completely DIY approach, self recording and mixing everything in his home studio. Every instrument on the EP was performed by him allowing him make music that he truly loves.
