The Impersonators Release The Newest Addition To Their Vintage-Pop Reign

The masters of vintage-pop, The Impersonators have released their new single ‘Sad Cafe’ today. A two-man project comprising of  Tom Tikka and Antti Autio (lyricist), the two flawlessly imitate the depth of a full band – hence the name, The Impersonators.

A treat for the fans of R.E.M, The Go-Betweens and Matthew Sweet, offer an abundance of sonic textures and ‘vintage’ pop rock sounds in ‘Sad Cafe’ – a track that looks to be their best yet.

Having grown in the States and being previously signed to Sony/BMG with Carmen Gray, one of Finland’s biggest-ever rock bands, Tom Tikka injects Finnish elements into his sound.

From the perspective of style, The Impersonators’ goal is to nurture and cultivate the creativity, spirit and warmth that graced the pop records of yesteryears – realised through poignant lyrics, emotive music and sixties-flavoured vocal harmonies and they do this effortlessly in their latest release.
