Intended to be his final album, last year’s album ‘The Rainbow’s Legacy’ was Adam Lanceley’s goodbye to music, his salvation through many years’ struggle through physical and mental health issues. Suffering with anxiety, depression and PTSD, he has found the aftermath incredibly difficult but his life has been turned around by the kindness of a friend, kindness which he has tried to repay with a brand-new collection of songs which he has entitled Deliverance.
Lanceley said, “The first song on the album probably means the most to me. Everything happened so quickly at the end of last summer and I wrote it in desperation at the thought of losing her. I read it to her but when I thought I’d never be able to record it and give it to her, I couldn’t face doing it. It was in the winter when I realised I would be able to, that I recorded it. I recorded three more tunes that I’d written about how she’d come into my life after this”
Deliverance, a 6 track album will be releasing on June 8th.
If you thought that a mini moog was the latest choc covered bar from cadburys or a new version of the wonderful clubman or cooper then shame on you and we have to say you won’t be pals with Beau , as Mr.Bowen it seems, according to those that know, is the master of the mini moog and is rarely seen without it, anyway nothing we like more than a moog so let us continue. Cosmic guitar hero; glam overlord; star child in flares – Beau Bowen is all of these and far more. His effortlessly groovy, melodically colossal songs have stepped straight of out of classic 70s top ten singles charts…or maybe the 60s…or the 80s…or…
Part of Beau Bowen’s genius is that his music manages
to evoke some of the iconic names of musicians from across the decades, from
Bowie to Bolan, from Prince to King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, whilst
retaining a sound which is immediately his own. If you ever dared to dream the
phrases ‘prog’ and ‘glam’ would become cool, the waiting is over. Beau Bowen is
your new hero.
Hailing originally from Australia, Beau Bowen is now
firmly based in London, his lair festooned with flares, sequinned capes,
feathered caps and boots requiring a step ladder to get into but most
importantly, the base from which his extraordinary music is born. His gift for
lyrics and melody is matched by a prodigious talent for guitar-playing, his
virtuoso Fender Strat outbursts aided by a passion for vintage gear, minimoogs
and an array of flashy pedals. With heavy doses of psychedelia mixed into his
sound, it’s rare that a fully-fledged rock star emerges from the firmament but
with Beau Bowen, it’s difficult to imagine a more complete article.
And if your not all mooged out already check out his
