In recent years, pop music seems to have diverged into so many different sub-categories that the base genre of ‘pop music’ doesn’t really exist anymore. However, up and coming Egyptian artist, Music Theory, is changing all of that with his brand of honest ‘pop’ music.
Music Theory writes about the typical topics you would expect: love, loss – that sort of thing. But in a musical world where most songs these days are about getting drunk or debaucherous activity, in some ways it’s refreshing to hear something as simply written as Music Theory’s ‘Down The Aisle’.
The talented artist admits himself that his music falls into the mainstream category, but this is perhaps the most admirable thing about his music; he isn’t trying to form his own ‘niche’ or anything like that, just write good music.
‘Down The Aisle’ is a touching love song driven by an enchanting melody and infectious vocals that pave the way for a highly memorable chorus.
